Bend Celebrates the Launch of Sustainable Workforce Housing Initiative, Rooted at Poplar

The project has carefully selected its homeowners, prioritizing those employed by local partners and first-generation homebuyers. The result of this diligent selection process is the creation of seven units of affordable 3-bedroom, 2-bath homes on the west side of Bend. The average mortgage payment for these homes stands at $1,650, a stark contrast to the region’s average rent for similar homes, which is 40% higher.
